Marta holds a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in safety risk management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU (2020). She received her Master of Science (2016) and Bachelor of Science (2013) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pisa (Italy). In 2021, Marta joined SINTEF Energy Research as a research scientist in the mobility group at the gas technology department. Here, she works towards the creation and development of sustainable solutions and safe technologies aimed towards zero emission transportation. Her primary area of interest and competence is hydrogen and ammonia technologies safety risk analysis.
Before joining SINTEF, Marta worked as a safety consultant in the Risk Management Advisory group at DNV, Energy Systems division. Here she gained experience and expertise in technical safety, major hazard identification and analysis, advanced consequence modelling, risk analysis, process and technology safety management, and hazardous material identification and handling.
