Women are in the green hydrogen branch, as well in many other sectors, underrepresented. The initiative to create a network to exchange experiences and empower professionals in the sector is very welcome and unites this group to pursue the SDG goals, specially the with regards to gender equality, climate and environment protection and partnerships for the goals.

Loana von Gaevernitz holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the Catholic University of São Paulo and a Master's Degree in Business Administration as well as an MBA in Project Management from the University Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Rio de Janeiro. She is currently studying at the EPGE-FGV to obtain a Master's degree in Economics and Finance.

After working for various institutions, such as Deutsche Bank (São Paulo) and the PMO (Project Management Office) for the Olympic Games of Rio 2016 (Rio de Janeiro), Ms. von Gaevernitz has been part of the team of the German-Brazilian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Rio de Janeiro since 2017, where she holds the position of Deputy Managing Director and is responsible for market entry and business development as Head of Department.

Certified by the Project Management Institute (PMP - PMI) as a project manager, Ms. von Gaevernitz has extensive experience in the development and coordination of projects and sector studies to promote bilateral cooperation and generate business opportunities between Brazil and Germany in the infrastructure sector, with a special focus on renewable energies (including green hydrogen), energy efficiency and sanitation. The projects are financed privately or through calls for proposals by the German government (ministries BMWi, BMU and BMZ). As deputy managing director, the routines of team leadership and support in planning activities, overseeing goals and results as well as reporting on projects and main results complement the field of activity.
