Ivana Jemelkova is a Senior Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment of FTI Consulting and a member of the firm’s global Energy and Natural Resources Practice. Working internationally with clients and teams in Americas, EMEA and APAC, she is currently based in Washington, DC.

Ms. Jemelkova advises high-profile clients on complex, multi-jurisdiction policy and communications issues related to new technologies, sustainability and industry transformation, particularly in energy and transport. She brings to the table deep knowledge of hydrogen issues as well as a vast network stemming from almost a decade-long engagement with the hydrogen sector in Europe and globally.

Among others, Ms. Jemelkova helped build the Hydrogen Council, a global coalition of CEOs working to accelerate hydrogen scale-up, launch it at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and support the quickly growing group of multinationals to engage policy stakeholders, investors and civil society across priority markets. The Council’s activities included CEO-level engagement at the G20 Summit in Japan, New York Climate Week, the COP Climate Conference and other high-profile engagements from San Francisco to Beijing.

Prior to transferring to the U.S., Ms. Jemelkova spent 6 years with FTI Brussels, coordinating the European head office of an industry group with more than 100 members from 20 countries and working with other corporate and association clients on EU policy strategies and campaigns.

A Czech national, Ms. Jemelkova holds degrees in European Studies and International Relations from the Charles University in Prague and a Certificate in Clean Energy from Yale. Her previous professional experience includes the European Commission, the Czech Business Representation to the European Union and a leading foreign policy think-tank. While in U.S, she also completed fellowships with the Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI) and Securing America’s Energy Future (SAFE).
