BSc degree from Biology at Middle East Technical University, MSc and PhD from Dokuz Eylul University (DEU) Department of Environmental Engineering. Resarch schollar at Ulster University, Nothern Ireland. Professor at DEU since 2009. Research areas; biohydrogen, biobutanol production from waste materials, micropollutant treatment, endocrine disrupting chemicals, water quality, novel biological waste treatments. More than 50 SCI journal publications, invited speaker/panelist in national and international scientific meetings, author of chapters about biohydrogen production.
