Icoana Laís L M Martins

Consultant in the area of energy efficiency and hydrogen. Researcher of new semiconductor materials for obtaining hydrogen gas from the photoelectrochemical process.

It is necessary to create a support network among women so that we can become stronger in the hydrogen field. That is why I created the H2Todos Project that aims to democratize the knowledge in the field of hydrogen and the participation of women in the energy sector.

Master Student at Federal University of Latin American Integration
Brasília- DF

Energy engineer from the University of Brasilia (UnB), where I worked for 6 years in research on photovoltaic cells and their composition. I have a specialization in Energy Efficiency and Adaptive Comfort from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México and I'm doing my master's degree in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Energy and Sustainability at the Federal University of Latin American Integration, researching new materials for the generation of hydrogen gas from the photoelectrochemical method of water splitting. During the master's degree, I had the opportunity to intern at the Hydrogen Plant of the Itaipu Technology Park. I worked at the Energy Geopolitics Observatory, which is an integrated research and extension project linked to the Center for Strategic Studies, Geopolitics and Regional Integration (NEEGI) at the Federal University of Latin American Integration, in Foz do Iguaçu - PR, Brazil. Since November 2022, I have the H2Todos Project, which aims to democratize the knowledge of hydrogen through training courses and webinars in Brazil with professionals working with hydrogen in several countries, and promote content on instagram to disseminate knowledge in accessible language.
