DARIA V. ZAEMSKAYA is a Partner of Woods & Smith LLP. She is a young experienced energy, oil & gas and infrastructure lawyer and contract negotiator. Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) in 2008 with a Master’s Degree in International and European Law. Worked for five years at the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross for the Russian Federation, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, in the Department of International Humanitarian Law, first as an Assistant Regional Legal Advisor, then as a Legal Advisor. Worked at the Caracas office of the National Petroleum Consortium until February 2013, as part of the legal team, and after that worked as member of the legal department of the Russian oil company Rosneft in Venezuela. Speaker at several international law conferences. Member of the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET). Proficient in English, Spanish and Russian.
