As an experienced renewable energy and financing lawyer I advise companies, investors and financing institutions on the successful realization of their projects with a particular knowledge of the French and German market (admitted at Paris and Frankfort Bar).

I work across corporate, financing, project-related and investment matters. I assist with energy and energy-efficiency projects from their inception to their realization.

I'm delighted to have project developers (on/offshore wind, solar , biogas, biomass, which brought me to green hydrogen production), public and private investors and financing institutions as clients. Their different needs enable me to stay alert and to grant a proper risk assessment in a dynamic and demanding environment.

I advise project developers and utilities, or aggregators, on all aspects of the development process, permitting issues and contractual schemes to be implemented, including energy trading and energy offtake contracts (corporate PPA’s, "Hy" - PPA’s). I also advise investors on renewables M&A acquisitions (SPA, legal due diligence), and banks on all aspects of project financing including both French and German legal documentation in French, German or English language.

My particular expertise includes project financing for renewable energy projects (loan agreements and securities concepts, legal opinions), setting up energy trading-related contracts and Corporate / Hydrogen PPA’s; providing due diligence reports and acquisition concepts (M&A) for energy-related projects; negotiating FIDIC based and EPC contracts, as well as technical and commercial management agreements, and advising on project development services.

I work closely with the other energy & utilities specialists at Bird & Bird, as well as Bird & Bird's Corporate, Commercial and Banking & Finance teams in France, Germany and internationally.

I have been a Member of the Steering Committee (comité de pilotage) of the German-French Office for Energy Transition (OFATE) and within the Bird & Bird law firm I’m steering since 2021 the Hydrogen activities throughout the firm.
