Annie Ojewunmi is a dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Technician and a Mentee of the World Hydrogen Leaders Mentorship Program. She is also a passionate advocate for aerospace education and workforce development.
With a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Annie has since pursued specialized training in aerospace engineering, achieving top grades in courses from esteemed institutions like the Federal Aviation Administration Safety, Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace, and GE Aerospace. Driven by her early fascination with aviation and her commitment to advancing Nigeria’s aerospace sector, she has become a LinkedIn Top voice in aerospace engineering and civil aviation.
Annie's career goal is to become a leader in hydrogen propulsion systems, aligning with her vision for sustainable and innovative aviation technologies. Through her nonprofit, the Young Aerospace Professionals Initiative (YAPI), she addresses the challenges of brain drain and limited workforce development in Nigeria's aerospace industry. Her work empowers the next generation of Nigerian aerospace professionals through mentorship, education, and advocacy.
Annie’s involvement with Women in Green Hydrogen reflects her dedication to creating a greener, more sustainable future in aviation and her commitment to supporting underrepresented groups in STEM, particularly in emerging fields such as hydrogen propulsion and sustainable aviation fuels.
I believe Women in Green Hydrogen is impossible because it creates a supportive and empowering network for women in an industry that’s not only advancing cutting-edge technology but also addressing one of the most critical challenges of our time—sustainability.

Annie Ojewunmi is a dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Technician at Onedot Aviation and a passionate advocate for aerospace education and workforce development. She is also a Mentee of the World Hydrogen Leaders Mentorship Program.
She has experience working as an Aircraft Maintenance Intern and Aircraft Maintenance Graduate Trainee at Arik Air and Onedot Aviation respectively, where she got exposure to Aircraft Maintenance, maintenance planning, supply chain and logistics in the aviation industry, quality assurance, and non-destructive testing. Also, she is a committee member of the Nigeria Local Chapter, Institution of Engineering and Technology, a Carrington Youth Fellow and an Aviation Content Creator.
Due to the challenges she faced during her previous roles in the Aircraft Maintenance sector she developed the Young Aerospace Professionals Initiative to support young aspiring Aerospace engineers in career development.
Annie looks forward to a career in sustainable Aviation with a focus on sustainable aviation fuels and hydrogen propulsion.
