Viridiana is a Sustainability Consultant and Environmental Engineer with over seven years of international experience in project management, research, consultative sales, and field engineering working for companies from the consulting and energy industries. She aims to facilitate a smooth transition to a more sustainable business. She is committed to encouraging women to play an active role in building the country and stimulating sustainable development.
She began her career at Schlumberger as a Cementing Field Engineer. She conducted more than one hundred cementing jobs in offshore wells in Mexico. Subsequently, she gave support as a Sales and Technical Engineer to The National Mexican oil company (PEMEX). Then, she worked as a Quality Manager and developed a plan to produce export-quality habanero pepper.
As a Junior Consultant in The Consulting Group, she delivered a business model for a clean energy company. Three years ago, she started work as a Sustainability Consultant with Apoidea in Argentina, developing strategies for nudging sustainable cultural behaviour and creating awareness programs about the Circular economy, involving and promoting social sustainability in planning new developments. Last year, she had the opportunity to lead a project called: Manzily: An educational game where children learn about energy efficiency, retrofitting, and sustainability. This game is part of the Ras Al Khaimah Energy Efficiency and Renewables Strategy 2040—launched at the RAK Energy Summit, where she was part of the organising team.
