Renewable Digitalization & Business Integration Lead, Shell

Sofia has worked on multiple technical and strategic projects at Shell, interacting with different sectors across the globe. After leading a project to quantify and reduce GHG emissions in the Exploration & Production of O&G, she entered Renewables Brazil, developing clean Integrated Energy Basin projects to accelerate the energy transition, leading the digitalization of the Americas, and working in the decarbonization route of the company. Also at Shell Sofia is the Chairwoman of Future Energy Leaders (FEL) Brazil, an international sustainability and energy transition network. She is also a Youth Delegate at UNITE 2030, the United Nations, promoting the Sustainable Development Goals. At the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas, and Biofuels (IBP), Sofia is the Shell Representative at the Youth Committee and one of the Founders of Mentes de Energia (Energy Minds), a professional energy and O&G network with monthly meetings. A STEM woman, her background is in Mechanical Engineering Dipl.-Ing. at UFRJ (Brazil) and RWTH Aachen (Germany).
