Simran currently works as an Analyst in a Swiss not for profit, Green Hydrogen Organisation (GH2), with a mission to dramatically accelerate the production and utilisation of green hydrogen.

Her work includes undertaking policy analysis of national green hydrogen strategies, to contribute to development of the first-of-its-kind "GH2 country portal". The portal showcases ambitious targets, innovations, funding and projects in countries with a green hydrogen ecosystem. Simran also co-chaired world's first Youth For Green Hydrogen Communiqué at the first Global Green Hydrogen Assembly.

She has previously worked with GIZ GmbH in Berlin in the Project Development Programme (PDP), as part of the German Energy Export Initiative concentrated in developing economies with Solar Photovoltaics and Hydrogen energy. She also worked at The UN Environment Programme with the Green Fiscal Team as a policy intern under its Economic and Trade Policy Unit for the Geneva office.

Simran has a Masters in Development Studies from The Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, with a specialisation in the Environment and Sustainability track. She holds a bachelor’s in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.
