Specialist with more than 15 years of experience in energy and mining, with a focus on financing renewable energy projects, green hydrogen, and mining tailings. Much of my professional experience has been in project financing and socio-environmental analysis of energy projects related to multilateral banking. In recent years, I have worked in project management and financing of technology developments with potential for financial scaling through venture capital and investors. I have a great potential to link different actors in the public and private ecosystem.

I have been a mentor and mentee in different women's networks because I believe that it is fundamental for women to have support to face challenges in their professional development. I want to put all my personal and professional experience to empower other women in the energy industry.

Specialist in energy and mining/ Corfo
Santiago

During 12 years of my career in Corfo I worked creating and deepening the financing market for energy projects. During that period, I performed in the generation and completion of 5 energy concessional loans with the German Development Bank KfW, for a total amount of USD 250 million. My participation and contribution began with the exploration and diagnosis of the existing market, existing regulations, interested financial entities, among others.

Additionally, my work during that period also included monitoring of environmental and social aspects according to the IFC Performance Standards in renewable energy and sustainability projects.

On the other hand, over the years my work has moved to promote the scaling of technological developments that achieve an impact on the productive transformation of the country. My efforts have focused mainly on the bifacial solar industry, secondary mining (mine tailings and rare earths) and green hydrogen. In this last point I have led and assisted in the allocation of direct grants by Corfo of USD 14,9 million in projects for the use of green hydrogen and I am currently working on the launch of a program focused on promoting the manufacture of components of the green hydrogen chain in Chile.

Furthermore, last year I was selected to be part of the mentoring network of the Mentoring Programme Energizing Women to Advance Transition 2023 by Global Women's Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), and I was also chosen among a select group worldwide to participate in a study tour to Germany, where I attended conferences with women in the energy sector from all over the world, such as Women energize Women, and the InterSolar Europe technology fair.

I am currently a mentor for the Fund Me and Scale Me programs of the Network of Women Entrepreneurs in Chile, which supports technology ventures led by women.
