Pooja Shah (she/her) is a young professional in the clean energy industry working to accelerate energy transition and address climate change. She strives to engineer and design innovative, affordable and reliable clean energy solutions. She strongly believes that women are agents of change and with equal opportunity they'd drive innovation and shape policy to accelerate energy transition and build a more equitable and sustainable future.
As part of Climate Action KC’s equity committee, Pooja is helping ensure implementation of equitable policies and solutions to address climate change, reduce emissions, and improve the quality of life across the Kansas City metro area. She is also a mentor for energy storage through Global Women's Network for Energy Transition. Pooja serves on several boards and in leadership positions as part of organizations such as Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers – KC, Emerging Leaders Council for Boys and Girls Club of Kansas City, Central Exchange’s Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine (WiSTEMM) and KieWomen championing gender equality and justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
Pooja has a master’s in Energy Systems Engineering with a focus on renewable energy and sustainability from Syracuse University, NY.
