Nadia Yousfi Steiner received a master’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in Fluidics and Energetics in 2006. She obtained a PhD in Engineering Science in 2009, and from 2009 to 2014, she worked as R&D Project Manager in charge of collaborative projects on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in Karlsruhe, Germany. Her research interest deals with Fuel Cell and Electrolysers systems degradation ,characterization, diagnostics, prognostics and Fault Tolerant Control.

Nadia Yousfi Steiner was awarded a 6-years Chair of Excellence in Hydrogen, within the Energy department of FEMTO-ST Institute in Belfort, France. She is strongly involved in Education and outreach activities around Hydrogen technologies. She was the principal organizer of the yearly 2-days event “Hyckatlon©”, where her students of the Master of Engineering Hydrogen Energy, CMI H3E explained hydrogen to scholars and wide public. The CMI H3E has been awarded the “Trophée des Hydrogenies 2021” under her direction in March 2021 for the best Education and outreach program.

She is currently Full Professor at the University of Franche-Comté, in Secondment as Hydrogen Projects Manager at the International University in Rabat and Researcher at FEMTO-ST Institute.

Nadia Yousfi Steiner has been recently awarded with the CNRS Bronze Medal in 2019 and the Blodel Medal in 2023 for her research.
