Mentoring Program: FAQ

You’re interested in becoming a mentor but still have a few questions? Please have a look at our FAQ:

What am I supposed to do as a mentor?

You meet with your mentee, listen to her, offer guidance and advice. You can also forward invitations and scholarship or career opportunities to her if that’s what she’s looking for.

I have more than 6 years of work experience, but not all in hydrogen. Is this a problem?

No, it isn’t. With your work experience you absolutely qualify as a mentor.

Can I choose my own mentee?

No, you cannot. We will connect you.

How long is the mentoring program?

One year starting in July 2021.

How can I meet with my mentee?

You will most probably meet online or talk on the phone. WiGH does not provide the software for that.

I have very little time. How much time is required?

You’ll be meeting your mentee up to 5 times during 12 months, and we’re estimating that it takes you 2 hours per month to participate in our mentoring program.

Maybe next year would be better?

We’re hoping to start a new program in July 2022.

Do I need to talk about this to my employer?

Yes and no. Yes if you think they value your commitment or if you want them to acknowledge your effort. No if they don’t – then you can apply with all your work credentials but be a mentor in your free time.
