Notwithstanding Maria de los Angeles is a professional with ample experience in fossil fuels, her interest in the search for greener fuels and her constant attention to the energy transition process are noteworthy. In this sense, she possesses the relentless motivation and the unique set of skills that are essential to the design of a robust energy transition for Chile.

María de los Ángeles holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. She joined the Ministry of Energy 7 years ago and is currently Head of the Hydrocarbons Unit - Fuels and New Energy Division, where she leads the development of the hydrogen regulatory framework in Chile.
