Dr. Linda Zhang is an Assistant Professor at the Frontier Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences, Tohoku University, Japan. Her research focuses on porous materials for hydrogen storage, purification, and isotope separation, with particular interest in how framework dynamics and molecular recognition govern adsorption performance. She combines cryogenic adsorption experiments, structural characterization, neutron scattering, and data-driven materials discovery to develop new design principles for energy-efficient separation and storage. Her recent work demonstrated highly selective hydrogen isotope separation through isotopologue-induced structural dynamics in a metal–organic framework. She is also active in international research collaborations and has been invited to speak at conferences on hydrogen, adsorption, and separation technologies.
