Research Engineer and Business Developer
Judith Kapeller is Business Developer and Research Engineer at the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). Since 2019, she has been working at the AIT, leading, coordinating, and developing TESCA, a framework for techno-economic simulations and evaluations of hybrid power plants. Judith’s portfolio includes projects related to renewable energy generation, battery storage, hydrogen production, hydrogen compression and storage, as well as other technologies in the electric, hydrogen and thermal energy systems. TESCA is regularly used for profitability assessments and system design selection for hybrid power plants, which includes value stacking of different marketing strategies for the technologies and calculation of KPI’s such as levelized cost of energy, profitability, self-supply, self-consumption and many more.
