I am privileged to serve as the Director of the Future Energy Department at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in the UAE. My leadership played a pivotal role in developing the Hydrogen Leadership roadmap, which was launched at COP26 in Glasgow in 2021. This roadmap outlines the strategic plan for advancing hydrogen technologies in the UAE, encompassing production, storage, distribution, and utilization. Additionally, I led the efforts in formulating the National Hydrogen Strategy 2050, a visionary roadmap for widespread hydrogen deployment across sectors such as transportation, and industry. These initiatives demonstrate the UAE’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions and position the country as a global leader in the hydrogen sector. As the director, I will continue to drive the implementation of these strategies and foster collaborations to ensure a sustainable energy future for the UAE.
