Dr. Gladys Anyenya

Mechanical engineering PhD (Operations Research Minor) with comprehensive experience in fuel cell system design, testing, modeling and optimization for automotive and stationary power applications

Engineering Technical Lead - Fuel Cell Development, Wabtec Corporation
/ Fort Worth

I currently serve as the Engineering lead for Fuel Cell development at Wabtec Corporation, where I am responsible for the design and development of Hydrogen Fuel Cells systems for use in heavy duty applications, specifically locomotive and mining. I started my work in Fuel Cell systems during my PhD studies working on a Geothermic Fuel Cell system for CHP applications using Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. Upon graduation, I joined Doosan Fuel Cell America (Formerly UTC Power) as a Sr. Systems Engineer, where I worked in the R&D division re-designing their M400 Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell powerplant to run on byproduct hydrogen. My experience in the mobility sector includes working at Bosch Engineering GmbH as a Fuel Cell Development Engineer on system design and operating strategy optimization of PEM-Fuel Cell and Battery Electric vehicle powertrains. My education background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from Hillsdale College.
