Dr. Gladys Anyenya

Thermal systems executive (PhD electrochemical engineering, MBA) with 11+ years leading hydrogen fuel-cell R&D, modeling, integration, and scale-up for automotive, aerospace, rail, and stationary power.

/ Dallas

I lead Fuel Cell Stack Development at Blue Origin, where I’m spearheading the vertical integration of hydrogen-fuel-cell stacks for next-generation aerospace vehicles—cutting projected CAPEX and schedule while boosting in-house know-how. Before that, I served as Engineering Lead at Wabtec, taking the rail industry’s first fuel-cell locomotive module from concept to on-track validation for heavy-haul and mining fleets.

My fuel-cell path started during my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, modelling geothermic solid-oxide systems for CHP applications. Since then I’ve re-engineered Doosan’s M400 phosphoric-acid plant to run on by-product hydrogen and optimized PEM fuel-cell and battery-electric powertrains at Bosch Engineering. Now finishing an MBA in Strategic Leadership, I combine deep technical rigor with business acumen to turn clean-energy ideas into scalable, market-ready products—while championing mentorship and greater inclusion for women in engineering.
