Christiane Averbeck is Executive Director of the Climate Alliance Germany, the broad civil society alliance for climate protection in Germany. With more than 140 members, Climate Alliance Germany shows that climate protection is a major concern of society and is supported by a broad societal alliance.
Previously, Christiane Averbeck worked in development cooperation in projects in Ghana, Uganda and Zimbabwe, conducted research about pollution in the North Sea, supported the German Federal Government’s Council for Sustainable Development and lead a nationwide training program called Education for Sustainable Development. She holds a PhD in natural science on sustainable resource use.
