I am a chartered mechanical engineer with experience in project and operational management. I focus on green gas into the gas grid and vehicles in the UK which includes biomethane and green hydrogen.
I think it is important to ensure that there is a support network for females working in the industry. We must also ensure that people starting out on their career have access to a diverse community where they see people like themselves

As a mechanical engineer I started out as a project engineer in the steam industry and then went on to soft drinks, working in both projects and operations. During a career break I took a MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Technology and on going back to work, was involved in the early biomethane to grid connections in the UK. I have now worked in this industry for over 12 years in both projects and operations. I have recently started working on green hydrogen projects, as this follows a very similar process to biomethane. I am mainly looking at projects involving blending and for vehicle use and the early stages of e-methane.
