Adeola Ijeoma Eleri (Ph.D) is a Deputy Director and Head of the Electro-Thermal Division in the Renewable Energy Department at the Energy Commission of Nigeria. She is a seasoned renewable energy expert with over twenty years of professional experience spanning research, project management, policy development, capacity building, and advocacy. Dr. Eleri’s work is distinguished by a strong focus on environmental sustainability, climate change, and gender mainstreaming within the energy sector. She is a recognized specialist in market development for renewable energy services and has built extensive expertise in expanding access to clean and renewable energy solutions for vulnerable and underserved populations, particularly women and marginalized communities. In her current role, she provides technical leadership and strategic expertise in policy formulation, market surveys, and analytical studies, and has contributed to numerous national and international expert committees and task forces on renewable energy, climate change, emerging energy technologies and sustainable development. Dr. Eleri holds a Ph.D. in Energy Studies, with a specialization in Energy Policy, from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
