With an Electrical Engineering background and experience in research and development, business development, and project management, Abimbola is passionate about proffering creative and innovative solutions across clean energy development initiatives for global energy transition.

She is a lecturer at the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria, where she teaches Energy Studies, Power System Protection among others.

As the founder of Females in Clean Energy (FiCE) Foundation, an NGO guided by SDGs 7 & 5. At FiCE foundation; she works with her team to teach, mentor, and engage females in creating awareness, and developing and deploying renewable energy solutions to underserved communities for socioeconomic development and growth.

As a researcher, she has worked on several projects with teams both at national and international levels toward creating innovative energy solutions, translating and implementing strategies, and delivering results that impact the energy sector and the world at large. Some of these projects include the Artificial Intelligence in Clean Energy grant, which was funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering UK Grant under the Higher Education Partnerships in Sub-Saharan Africa (HEP-SSA), and the Advanced COVID-19 Market Place Robot (CMPR) in Ihiagwa Host Community which was powered using solar energy and funded by IEEE HAC/SIGHT Projects-Focus on COVID-19 2019.

Also, she has served as a member of various committees in her university and as an executive member of the IEEE Nigeria Section Women in Power and IEEE Consultant Network Nigeria section.

In addition, Abimbola has adequate experience in the energy sector working as a project manager and consultant for different organizations. As the Chief Technical Officer at DWise Electric, she was able to leverage her project management skills to provide technical solutions when the need arises. Currently, she offers consultation services as a renewable energy expert to institutions like Tekinologi, a company aiming to be at the forefront of the green hydrogen ecosystem in Nigeria, and the Africa Hydrogen Partnership (AHP). Working remotely with the Africa Hydrogen Partnership (AHP) under one of its directors, to lay a foundation for establishing green hydrogen economies and societies in Africa has allowed her to gain in-depth knowledge of hydrogen energy technologies and relevant supporting policies.
