A renewable energy scientist with over six years’ professional experience in Eastern Africa focusing on; solar systems, clean energy advisory, lobby and advocacy for green and inclusive energy policies. Mostly worked in renewable energy projects geared towards; supply of solar solutions; policy and regulatory advisory; technical and capacity development support to national/sub-national government authorities, non-state actors and energy journalists.
Currently providing advisory and support in efforts to position Kenya as a regional hub for green hydrogen technology development in Eastern Africa. Research scientist on energy access and the future of energy systems in the region.
Professional interests are largely in renewable energy technologies, Power-to-X technologies, electricity markets, energy efficiency, predictive modelling and analytics.
