Stefanie is a senior associate practicing in the commercial department of ENSafrica | Namibia (Windhoek office), with a specific focus on energy and environmental law, as well as project development. She has been a practicing attorney for six years. In this role she has advised on matters relating to mining and environmental compliance, as well as advised on the establishment of energy (and more recently, green hydrogen) projects within Namibia
She holds a law degree and a bachelor’s degree in Media from the University of Cape Town, as well as a general law masters from the University of Cape Town, focusing in part on environmental law. She also completed the Programme in International and Comparative Business Law at Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, Germany, where she also obtained a Certificate in Management and Leadership in Law Firms.
Stefanie is currently undertaking her Advanced Energy Law Masters with the North Sea Energy Law Partnership, which is hosted jointly by the Universities of Groningen, Oslo, Aberdeen and Copenhagen.
She is the Co-Founder and Vice-Chairperson of the Environmental Lawyers Network of Namibia, as well as the Regional Leader for Southern Africa of the African Chapter of Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE).
