Jessica Pringle is a Canadian born, dual citizen Australian who holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University in Canada.

She joined BHP Billiton in Australia in January 2009 prior to which she gained experience in mining operations, financial modelling and mine planning in a variety of different commodities and locations throughout North America. From 2009 to 2016 Jessica worked with the production planning, mining execution, mobile maintenance, processing production and transformation teams across BHP Billiton Iron Ore. In 2011 aged 29, Jessica was appointed BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s first female Mining Manager at its Mt Whaleback Mine in the Pilbara. Under her leadership the culture of the team of more than 600 was transformed into one of high performance. Jessica is experienced in managing large-scale residential and FIFO mine sites. Her people leadership and management skills were recognised in 2014 when she was chosen as one of a small team of Business Transformation Leaders whose coaching of management teams in cost reduction extracted 31% of recurrent costs while continuing to safely increase production.

Jessica then followed her passion for leadership out of the Resources sector and into another traditionally male-dominated area, the Building and Construction industry, where she joined Brickworks as the General Manager for Astral Bricks WA in July 2016 and completed a business transformation to bring the division back to profitability.

Jessica re-joined the resources sector in January 2018 as the General Manager of the Solomon Hub for the Fortescue Metals Group. The Solomon Hub in the Hamersley Ranges had a production capacity of 75 million tonnes per annum and Jessica was directly responsible for the 2000 people who safely operated the site.

Jessica went on to support St Barbara Ltd with their business-wide transformation as their Chief Transformation Officer prior to recently joining Worley as a Senior Vice President Operations where she supports key global clients with their energy transition journeys in green energy.

She was the recipient of the AFR BOSS Young Executive of the Year Award in 2012, the recipient of the AIM WA Excellence Awards Manager of the Year in 2015, the WA winner of the Telstra Business Women’s Awards as Business Woman of the Year in the Corporate & Private Category in 2015, and in 2016 was named one of the 40Under40 in WA.

Jessica gives back to high potential men and women in the Resources industry through tireless hours of coaching and mentoring; supporting these individuals to develop and strengthen their leadership skills. Jessica has demonstrated, particularly to women, that glass-ceilings can be broken, and that career progression is open to anyone, as long as they are prepared to work hard and commit.

Jessica is a foodie who enjoys cooking, travel and enjoys the outdoors lifestyle with her husband and two dogs.
