Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH) is an official supporting partner of the Global African Hydrogen Summit (GAHS), organized by dmg events in collaboration with the host, the Government of the Republic of Namibia, endorsed by the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy and strategic partner Namibia Investment & Development Board (NIPDB).

This partnership was initiated at the inaugural GAHS in 2024, and is continuing into 2025, reflecting a shared commitment to inclusive, equitable, and sustainable energy development across Africa. The 2025 Summit takes place from 9 to 11 September 2025 in Windhoek, Namibia.

WiGH and the GAHS jointly aim at mainstreaming gender inclusion within Africa’s green hydrogen dialogue and implementation strategy and at creating high-visibility platforms for women leaders, experts, and innovators in hydrogen across policy, science, engineering, and finance.

At this year’s GAHS, WiGH is curating a high-level Executive Brunch/Cocktail Reception. The event aims to convene Namibia’s first female-president H.E Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as a keynote speaker at the WiGH event and bring together policymakers, corporate leaders, development partners, and youth voices to network on topics such as inclusive policy design, women’s leadership in green hydrogen, gender-responsive financing and skills development and workforce equity.

For the overall GAHS, WiGH provides advisory input on summit content and representation, e.g. on gender-balanced speaker lineups, content themes for panels and highlighting women-led innovations and startups in hydrogen.

WiGH supports the Summit’s media and communications by sharing updates and promoting inclusive engagement across its global network.

WiGH is contributing to visibility by leveraging its platform to promote the Summit to its global membership across Africa, Europe, Latin America, and South Asia and by facilitating media engagements, interviews, and publications that uplift women’s voices in the hydrogen sector.
