Nienke Homan is regional minister at the province of Groningen in the Northern Netherlands. Her main focus is on energy transition, green hydrogen and climate adaptation. Specialised in national/ international energy systems, including hydrogen as a missing link. She is member of GroenLinks, a progressive left-wing green party.

The regional governments in the Northern Netherlands have increased their commitments to realise a Northern Netherlands hydrogen ecosystem. Supported by the national gorvernment and the EU, we are moving from pilots to maturing and scaling up. For this we launched our Investment Plan Hydrogen Northern Netherlands 2020. We gladly exchange experiences and cooperate with other regions.
