Join us from the 21st to the 25th of June at the Transport & Climate Change Week 2021 – we are jointly organising the “Hydrogen Hour” with the International Power-to-X Hub Berlin and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

At the Transport & Climate Change Week, we not only focus on building capacities through knowledge sharing and networking, but also on building meaningful relationships with experts and decision-makers from all around the world who are coming together to discuss sustainable transport.

Sustainable, climate-neutral fuels based on green hydrogen (Power-to-X, PtX) can contribute to decarbonising parts of the transport sector that cannot directly use renewable electricity. PtX offers a tremendous potential internationally. Favorable conditions for renewable energy production lead to new business opportunities. Furthermore, the uptake of Power-to-X can contribute to achieving sustainability goals (SDGs) on climate, energy and jobs.

In the three “Hydrogen Hour” sessions, we will discuss insights on key questions of hydrogen and Power-to-X production, applications, and potential markets. High level experts will give insights on specific dimensions of Power-to-X, such as climate, efficiencies, costs, aviation, maritime transport and further topics.

Connecting the global transport community at the Transport & Climate Change Week 2021

Since the first conference in 2017, more than 500 participants, experts and trainers have come together every year in Berlin. This year, we will connect digitally in a virtual conference room – and meet virtually in spite of COVID-19 travel restrictions.

In addition to the global program, the participants can join regional formats of exchange – be it in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa or Asia.

The Transport & Climate Change Week is organised by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) financed by the International Climate Initiative (IKI).
