Green hydrogen is enjoying a renewed and rapidly growing attention around the world. It has many possible applications across industry, transport, power, and buildings sectors. Most importantly, it does not emit CO2 and almost no air pollution when produced with renewable energies. It thus offers a solution to decarbonize industrial processes and economic sectors where reducing carbon emissions is both urgent and hard to achieve. All this makes hydrogen essential to support commitment to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 and for the global effort to implement the Paris Agreement while working towards zero pollution.

Yet, the discussions about green hydrogen are often dominated by men. We know, there are many women experts in the field of hydrogen. And we want to empower and connect these women to foster a more vivid and fruitful discussion on hydrogen and enable women empowerment in the hydrogen sector. The network Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH) fosters knowledge exchange and discussions on empowerment focused on green hydrogen – by women, for women.
